Certified Financial Planner Information
A Certified Financial Planner is a financial professional that has been
awarded the CFP® or CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER certification.
Individuals that have completed the required work experience and financial
education can apply to receive the CFP® Certification. Applicants
must prove their expertise in several areas, including insurance, general
finance, investing, taxes, retirement, estate planning and employee
benefits.
The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in the United States
requires applicants to move through a six step process to achieve the
CFP® certification..
